Residents in Shepparton and surrounding areas now have greater access to 黄片视频鈥檚 highly skilled Mobile Intensive Care 黄片视频 (MICA) paramedics, after the branch moved to dual crewing.

The change, made in July, now sees two MICA paramedics rostered on each shift to respond to critical medical emergencies.

MICA paramedics have an expanded clinical skill set and can perform high-level medical procedures including advanced airway management, administer intraosseous (into bone) medication and provide greater management of cardiac and traumatic conditions.

Hume Director Regional and Clinical Operations Narelle Capp said the change reflected the growing needs of the community.

鈥淭he upgrade to dual MICA crews will see six more MICA paramedics added to the Shepparton branch into the future,鈥 she said.

鈥淭his change has also seen the Hume Region receive our first dual-crew MICA stretcher vehicle, which will assist us in providing best care to our patients.

鈥淭his is an exciting step forward for the region and provides valuable learning and ongoing professional development opportunities for our highly skilled MICA paramedics.鈥

The Shepparton branch is also staffed with Advanced Life Support (ALS) paramedics, Medium Acuity Transport Service (MATS) paramedics and non-emergency patient transport crews, ensuring residents receive the right care at the right time.

This is the second MICA uplift delivered in 2025, after more units were added to the Bairnsdale MICA service earlier this year.

The additional MICA resources were funded as part of the Victorian Government鈥檚 investment to train an additional 40 MICA paramedics.
